Here are a few photos of our trip to Davao last May 2O13.
Touchdown, Davao! We were at our hotel and I had no idea whether she was happy or angry when I took this photo. She was happy about the result of the photo though, because she said she looked "thin". HA.
This is my brother, Steve. This photo was taken.. somewhere (I apologize for my short-term memory loss). He looks way different now compared to the baby face he had a year ago.
Behold, the walking potato..with bangs. Moving on..
What happened, Steve?
We went to Crocodile Park. Though the park isn't entirely occupied by crocodiles alone, but other animals as well. Davao's "Richard Parker". It was my first time seeing a tiger up-close. I didn't expect tigers to be so fluffy! If only I could own a pet tiger to cuddle with at night without getting my head ripped off and my insides outside of my body by morning. Sigh. The thing is, when I looked at this tiger's eye, I believed Pi when he said that when we look at their eyes, "we see a reflection of ourselves".
Fun fact: I hate EMUS ever since I first laid my eyes on them. They scared me to death and gave me those mini-heart attacks when I was a kid. But after watching "Blended" (Adam Sandler + Bella Thorne = preach), I added "Ride on An Emu" to my bucketlist.
KING OF PHILIPPINE SKIES. We also visited the Philippine Eagle Center. Hello, Scout Binay! Scout Binay is named as such because it was Chairman Binay who adopted this little fella. This creature isn't little at all, with the height of 3 ft!
It took us 10 minutes to get a shot of him because he probably woke up on the wrong side of the bed and enjoyed the idea of people waiting for him to stop facing backwards.
