Dandruff is very common to both men and women. This is why I decided to research on remedies to get rid of our "snowflakes". Some of these remedies may or may not be familiar to you. Bless you, bald people, for not having to go through with all these.
1. Apple cider vinegar - it is believed by many that this vinegar has been used for centuries as a remedy for dandruff. What you need to do is to take one part of the apple cider vinegar, and mix it with water. (you can use a bowl in this process). Wash your hair normally, and after washing your hair, pour the vinegar-water mixture onto your head and scrub your scalp gently. Leave this for 10-15 minutes.
Note: Make sure that your scalp does not have any unhealed scratches/scab. Otherwise it will burn.
2. Banana + Vinegar - who would've thought that bananas would get rid of dandruff? Peel a whole banana and mix it with 2 cups of vinegar until you form a paste mixture. Then, apply the mixture to the scalp for 5-10 minutes. Leave this for 20 min-1 hr, then rinse the mixture out of your hair completely. Repeat this process everyday in one week!
3. Baking Soda - others believe that baking soda can be used as an alternative for your regular shampoo
4. Combing your hair everyday - after and before you take a bath and going to bed
5. Aspirin - crush or pound your aspirin into pieces. Instead of ingesting the aspirin, mix the aspirin powder to the shampoo you use. So ASPIRINg!
6. Coconut oil
7. Apple juice
8. Mouthwash - this is used to prevent dandruff about once a month. Mix mouthwash with water. After washing your hair the way you wash it normally, pour the mixture onto your hair.
Note: After pouring the mixture onto hair, do not rinse it out.
9. Lemons - squeeze lemons for lemon juice! Apply lemon juice to your hair + scalp for about 20-15 mins, then wash your hair thoroughly.
Note: It may be a little itchy, but considered normal.
10. Egg yolk
11. Baby Oil
*Comment if they're effective or not! :)
