SPARKS: THE HEDGIE

Meet Sparks, my pet hedgie! Also, my partner for life. (Note: He's very dirty atm)

How did I come up with the name Sparks? Well, I wouldn't take the credit all to myself. Last school year, I asked my classmates to give me a cool name for a hedgehog. Then, Beatrix Lim, told me that I should name it "Sparks" from THE Nicholas Sparks, one of my favorite authors. I thought about it, and told myself, why not? 

Hedgies are supposed to be nocturnal, right? But this little ball of quills isn't. He's a morning person.(BOO) Except today. As you can see, he's giving me the "I will kill you later for waking me up" face.

Sparks likes to hide under pieces of clothing. During rainy or cold nights, he would cuddle inside the pocket of my hoodie.

Oh look, he's trying to run away. From what? From his dirty feet, maybe. 

Hedgehogs aren't rodents. They're part of the cat family. (Shocking, isn't it?) Anyway, Sparks, even though he's somewhat a cat, prefers to eat... dog food. I have no idea why, but he likes to eat dog food. My baby isn't fitting in, he's standing out. Way to go, Sparks! :) 

Aww, would you look at that. The thing is, I've neglected him ever since school started, and I feel guilty for what I did, so I'm going to play with him before I leave for training every weekend. 


We didn't let him play today because he likes to poop inside his ball so..

Sparks' quills! It's not that sharp, tbh. It's as rough as a brush, if you're not scaring him. If you surprise him or scare him, well that's a different story. Sparks is just as sensitive as other hedgies.
